Vitaly Golovnev

— Legendary Russian jazz trumpeter, a former soloist of the Igor Butman Big Band and the orchestras of Oleg Lundstrem and Georgy Garanyan, and the winner of Russia's national competition of jazz performers in Rostov-on-Don, and the Blue Bird and Festos festivals in Moscow. He moved to New York in 2003, where he performs with his band. Vitaly has worked with famous groups such as Mingus Big Band and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. He recorded two solo albums with the Tippin' Records jazz record label, To Whom It May Concern (2009) and What Matters (2012). In early summer of 2016, Vitaly presented his first Russian album, When in Moscow, recorded by ArtBeat Music.
